How to choose material for precision machining

Aug 06, 2022 View: 686

The precision machining industry is an industry in which various disciplines such as machining, electronic technology, optics, automatic control, and computer technology intersect with each other, and the entry threshold is relatively high. my country's precision machining industry started relatively late. In the early stage of development, restricted by technology, experience and talents, there is a huge gap between foreign-funded enterprises in the industry in terms of R&D innovation and technical level. With the rapid growth of my country's market demand, the continuous increase of domestic enterprises' capital investment, and the continuous enhancement of independent research and development capabilities, the overall strength of the industry has made great progress at this stage.

As for precision machining materials, not all materials can be precision machined.

The first is the requirement for the hardness of the material. For some occasions, the higher the hardness of the material, the better, but it is limited to the hardness requirements of the machined parts. The material to be machined cannot be too hard.

Secondly, the material is moderately soft and hard, which is at least one grade lower than the hardness of the parts. At the same time, it also depends on the function of the processed devices and the reasonable selection of materials for the parts.

Precision machining still has some requirements for materials, not all materials are suitable for processing, such as materials that are too soft or too hard, the former is not necessary for processing, while the latter cannot be processed.
