How to choose non-standard stainless steel screws

The non-standard stainless steel screw is a non-standard fastener, which is different from the standard fasteners on the market. When customizing the non-standard stainless steel screw, how do we select the type according to the head of the screw?

1. Countersunk head screws

The head type of the countersunk head screw should be considered to be used a lot, because after it is screwed into the product, it will not protrude from the surface of the product and affect the appearance of the product, which is mostly used on the exterior of the product. Some have square necks or tenons under the head to prevent rotation when the screw nut is turned. The head has a word groove and a cross groove, and its diameter specifications are small, generally the diameter d is mostly below M10.

2. Hexagon screws

Hexagon screws are also a common head type in screw fasteners. Some hexagon head fasteners also have tables, holes, bosses, and flanges. Hexagon head screws have high mechanical properties and are convenient for wrench tightening. Larger tightening torque can also be applied, which is widely used. The bearing surface has a boss or a hexagon head screw with a flange surface, and also has the function of a washer. Increase the bearing surface to have a better anti-loosening effect. It can also be used for the connection of steel structures and important host structures.

3. Pan head screws

The head of the pan head screw can have a word groove, a cross groove, a plum blossom groove, etc., mainly to facilitate the use of tools to tighten, and it is mostly used on products with low strength and low tightening torque, generally used in household appliances and other small size host product.

4. Large flat head screw

The function of the dome head, square neck and tenon is to fix the screw rod, while the screwing is to fasten the connection of metal parts. Generally, the slotted dome head screws are generally used in situations where the space is small and the force is not large, while the oblate head screws are mostly used for the connection and fixation of thin-walled parts and plate structures.

5. Square head screw

The head area of the square head screw is large, which is convenient for the wrench to be tightened and rotated. A large tightening torque can be applied, and it is not easy to be bald. Most of them are used for relatively thick and frequently disassembled structures, but they are not suitable for parts that often need to be disassembled and moved.

6. Hexagon socket head and flower-shaped angle head screws

Its function is the same as that of the countersunk head, but the strength and tightening torque are larger than those of the countersunk head.
