Two methods commonly used in CNC lathe processing to divide the process
Jun 07, 2022 View: 875
In mass production, the following two methods are commonly used to divide the process.
1. According to the machining surface of the parts. Arrange the surfaces with high positional accuracy requirements in one clamping to avoid the installation error caused by multiple clampings from affecting the positional accuracy.
2. According to roughing and finishing. For parts with large blank allowance and high machining accuracy requirements, rough turning and fine turning should be separated into two or more processes. Arrange the rough turning on the CNC lathe with lower precision and higher power, and arrange the fine turning on the CNC lathe with higher precision.
The division of CNC lathe processing procedures mainly considers the production program, the structure and technical requirements of the equipment used and the parts themselves. In mass production, if a multi-axis, multi-tool high-efficiency machining center is used, the production can be organized according to the principle of process concentration; if it is processed on an automatic line composed of combined machine tools, the process is generally divided according to the principle of dispersion.
