What is the difference between gold stamping parts and die casting parts
Jun 22, 2023 View: 474
Stamping has many unique advantages both technically and economically;
It mainly has the advantages of high production efficiency, convenient operation, and easy mechanization and automation.
Die casting is a method of casting die forging. The die-casting forging process is a process specially completed on the die-casting forging machine. A casting method in which molten metal is poured into a pressure chamber, the cavity of a steel mold is filled at high speed, and the alloy liquid is solidified under pressure to form a casting.
The basic process of die casting is to first cast molten metal at low or high speed and fill it into the cavity of the mold. The mold has movable cavity surfaces. Using the cooling process of molten metal for pressure forging not only eliminates the shrinkage cavity and porosity defects of the blank, but also makes the internal structure of the blank reach the broken grains of the forging state, and the comprehensive mechanical properties of the blank are significantly improved. In addition, the outer surface finish of the blank produced by this process reaches grade 7 (Ra1.6), which is similar to the surface produced by cold extrusion process or machining, and has a metallic luster. Therefore, we call the die-casting die forging process "limit forming process".
By the way, another way of stamping processing is forging, that is, the round steel billet is pre-heated to a higher temperature after get off work, and then processed and formed under the action of a press and a mold. The formed parts can usually be called forgings, for example, the relatively heavy wrench tools common in hardware tools are processed through this forging process.
It is worth mentioning that the models and types of presses used for metal stamping parts, die casting parts and forging parts are different, so we will not introduce them here. As long as we remember that different stamping processes and equipment used are different.
